Hi, I’m Nicky!

Today, you will find me happily designing original floral arrangements for my clients at Paradise Blooms.

When I’m not flowering for weddings and events, you will most probably find me in my garden with my husband, belly laughing at a stand-up comedian, or imagining I’m a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing or Glow up.

I’m so glad you’re here

My style

My style is It’s bold, unstructured, and experimental. As a designer, who understands colours, textures and rhythm, I’ll ensure that you’ll always receive memorable statement flowers whatever the occasion. My floral arrangements are both vibrant and creative.

My creativity means, that I like to add unexpected elements in my work. I often pair tropical flowers with traditional British blooms. Whatever your heart desires, I’m here to make your floral dreams a reality.

Relationships with my clients are important to me. I’ll always give you my honest, expert guidance to ensure you’re thrilled with every floral arrangement I create for you.

My story

It seems like it was a lifetime ago, but I used to be a primary school teacher. However, my inner desire to work creatively always burned deeply. After exploring art and interior design, I studied floristry to level 3. I fell completely under the floral spell. With floristry, I have nature’s beautiful canvas of blooms and foliage. I do like to keep things fresh by learning new sustainable floristry techniques.

My parents are Jamaican, and I adore the landscape there. It’s safe to say, my heritage has influenced my love of unusual and fascinating flowers. The Jamaican landscape is filled with the most beautiful flowers and foliage, in stunning colours and architectural forms. Anthuriums, one of my signature blooms, grows extensively there.
